Frequently asked questions about alarms
What does a burglar alarm cost?
Most people who call us want to know two things: what the alarm costs and whether they are tied in. Here are the answers.
What does a home alarm cost?
The price of a home alarm depends on how many doors, windows and rooms need protecting. An alarm for a normal-sized house usually comes to between SEK 15,000 and SEK 30,000 installed. An apartment alarm is cheaper because fewer openings need sensors. You always get a fixed price in a quote before we start, with no hidden monthly alarm fee.
What does a business alarm cost?
An alarm system for a business is priced by the size of the premises, the number of entrances and whether you want cameras and access control connected to the same system. We work out the business alarm price after a site visit, because a shop, a warehouse and an office have completely different needs. As an alarm company in Stockholm we do the whole job ourselves, no subcontractor.
Do I need a subscription?
No. It is the most common question we get. We install alarms that you own yourself, with no lock-in period and without you paying a monitoring centre every month. The alarm alerts you directly on your phone. If you still want a monitoring centre we connect it, but it is a choice, not a requirement.
Can you install a home alarm I have already bought?
Yes. Many people have bought equipment and got stuck. We install home alarms whether you bought the system yourself or want us to supply it. If you are installing your own alarm and just need help with the final steps, we sort it out at an hourly rate.
Which alarm systems do you install?
We work mainly with UniFi Alarm and Ajax burglar alarms. The Ajax alarm price is somewhat lower for smaller homes, while UniFi wins when the alarm needs to work together with the network, cameras and access control in the same app. We recommend what suits the home, not what suits us.
Do you do fire alarms too?
Yes, we do fire alarm installation in Stockholm together with the burglar alarm, so that smoke and heat detectors alert in the same app as everything else. If you need a fire alarm installed to meet requirements from an insurance company or landlord, we bring in a certified engineer for burglar and fire alarms where required.
We work across Stockholm and surroundings: Södermalm, Kungsholmen, Östermalm, Bromma and Vasastan just as often as Täby, Nacka, Solna, Sollentuna, Danderyd, Lidingö, Huddinge, Tyresö, Värmdö, Södertälje, Norrtälje and Vallentuna.
Choosing an alarm
Which home alarm is best?
The short answer: the one that is fitted correctly. The longer answer is here.
Which is the best home alarm for a house?
The difference between brands is smaller than the difference between a well-planned and a sloppy installation. A motion detector aimed at a sunny window gives false alarms however expensive it is, and an unfitted magnetic contact on the patio door makes the whole system pointless. We choose equipment that you own yourself and that works without a subscription, so you can change installer whenever you like without the alarm stopping working.
Do you install burglar alarms for housing cooperatives?
Yes. A burglar alarm for a housing cooperative looks different from a house alarm: it usually protects entrances, bike rooms, pram stores and basement corridors rather than individual apartments. We connect it to the same system as the access control and cameras, so the board has one login instead of three, and we hand the documentation over to the cooperative.
